One thing I would like to add to the possibilities of using PayPal is to think of it as an online checking account. Instead of transferring the entire balance of your PayPal account to your bank account, consider using PayPal to pay for items and services directly. This way you do not lose money in any possible bank fees or in some cases, currency conversions. In my case, PayPal does not deal directly with Chilean banks, so there is even more of an incentive for me to use PayPal this way.

You can buy things like Skype credit, eBay purchases, VA services, and the list will no doubt grow over the years.
